Cinematographer Seminar: Interview and Film Clip Presentation by Stephen H. Burum, the 2015 Winner of OFF’s Lifetime Achievement Award for Cinematography.

Burum began working on major feature films for Francis Ford Coppola in 1976, shooting the second unit of Apocalypse Now and then The Black Stallion. His first credit as the cinematographer of a major motion picture was for The Escape Artist (1982). He is known for his work on Mission: Impossible (1996), The Untouchables (1987) and Carlito’s Way (1993). Burum was nominated for the American Society of Cinematographers Award for Outstanding Achievement in Cinematography in Theatrical Releases in 1988 and 1990 for his work on the films The Untouchables and The War of the Roses, finally winning in 1993 for his work on Hoffa. He was also nominated for an Academy Award for Hoffa. Burum was the 2008 recipient of the American Society of Cinematographers’ Lifetime Achievement Award.

Marsha Hunt, Lifetime Achievement Award and Presentation of “Marsha Hunt’s Sweet Adversity” the newly released film of her career.

After 54 films in 17 years, Ms. Hunt’s career came to a halt in 1952, after her name appeared in “Red Channels” a right wing publication that named purported communists in the radio and television industry. One of the few remaining blacklist victims, Ms. Hunt will be available for questions after the movie showing. An award ceremony and reception follows.
