OJAI FILM FESTIVAL 2010

FESTIVAL THEME:
The theme for the festival is: Enriching the Human Spirit Through Film.
Films and videos on all subjects in any genre, however, are welcome.
ENTRY DEADLINES:
Early Deadline: April 15, 2010
Late Deadline: June 15, 2010
Regular Deadline: May 15, 2010
Extended Deadline (Without A Box): July 15, 2010
MEDIA FORMATS:
Formats accepted for festival screening are as follows:
Film: 35mm
Video: Betacam SP, DigiBeta, HDCAM, DVCAM, MiniDV, HDV and DVD
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
Each submission must include:
• TWO (2) DVD preview copies (NTSC only)
• Completed entry form (signed and dated) for the appropriate category
A check or money order for the appropriate entry fee (see below)
Please type or print legibly using a separate entry form for each submission. Photocopies may be used for additional entries. Please include a production still from your film or video for publication in our Festival Program if your entry is accepted. A self-addressed stamped envelope should be included with any correspondence requiring a reply.
ENTRY FEES:
Early deadline (April 15) entry fees: Features -- $35 Shorts -- $30 Student Films -- $20
Regular deadline (May 15) entry fees: Features -- $45 Shorts -- $40 Student Films -- $25
Late deadline (June 15) entry fees: Features -- $55 Shorts -- $50 Student Films -- $30
WAB Extended Deadline (July 15) entry fees: Features -- $75 Shorts -- $70 Student Films -- $45
Features are defined as films with a running time of 40 minutes or longer. For student-produced work, a copy of a current student ID, or evidence of work being completed while entrant was a student, must be included with the application. Checks or money orders (in U.S. funds only) should be made out to The Ojai Film Festival. Any entries not accompanied by a check or money order for the appropriate amount will not be considered for inclusion in the festival.
AWARDS:
Awards will be given in the following categories: Best Narrative Feature, Best Narrative Short, Best Documentary Feature, Best Documentary Short, Best Animated Film, Best Student Film, Film Best Exemplifying The Festival Theme and The Audience Award
The festival jurors may also award an unspecified number of Honorable Mentions at their discretion
Cash prizes, trophies, plaques and/or certificates will be presented to the winners
SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS AND RETURN OF ENTRIES:
Public screening prints of entries selected for exhibition must be shipped pre-paid and in a suitable container, with insurance the responsibility of the entrant. We will not accept any COD or late shipments unless previous arrangements have been made.

RETURN OF ENTRIES:
Exhibition prints selected for screening at the Festival will be returned at no charge to the entrant. Return shipments will be insured for $100 for videotapes and $1000 for films. Other arrangements may be negotiated if necessary. Preview screening DVDs will not be returned unless accompanied by a self-addressed, pre-paid shipping package.
